Story
A few years ago, schools in Britain began taking analogue clocks out of their exam halls, because too many teenagers could not read them and were losing minutes working it out. If you read that report you probably felt a small lurch, a sense that something had slipped and that the schools had let it slip, and a string of questions about what was happening to our children.
So, do you know how to read a sundial?
Nobody got less intelligent when the sundial gave way to the clock, or the clock to the phone in your pocket — the effort simply moved somewhere else. We feel the same way about AI. It is a seismic shift in the way we work, learn and play, and Latura believes in moving with the times rather than mourning the old methods, because a change of instrument has never made anyone less capable. Our job is to help working teams find out where they stand with AI, and what is worth learning next.
